Johan Nilsson is a Swedish composer, music producer, and songwriter with a degree in composition from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Since 2022, Nilsson has collaborated with renowned composer Oliver Coates on several acclaimed productions, including the award-winning film Aftersun, the experimental documentary Occupied City, and the TV series Omnivore. These projects have garnered significant praise, with Aftersun earning critical acclaim for its emotional depth and innovative sound design.

In addition to his work in film and television, Nilsson leads the band Horse Vision, where he explores guitar music and genre-defying sounds. He also releases music under his own name, with a focus on experimental techniques, blending opposing musical expressions to create unique sonic landscapes. His work reflects a deep commitment to pushing the boundaries of composition and production. He also runs and manages the label inadvertent.index, which presents an eclectic roster of pop, rock, experimental and ambient music.

Beyond his artistic projects, Nilsson has experience in the commercial sector, having worked on various advertising campaigns, as well as in sound design and post-production.
